I have been curious about the M&P line of handguns. I am still in love with my XDM, but thought about trying one out for my wife. Of course I still get to shoot it though.
Prior to the M&P I was using both the Bersa Thunder Ultra Compact Pro and the Bersa Thunder full size Pro both in 9mm, both of which I enjoyed but I wanted to switch over to the 45ACP round so the S&W M&P45 worked out very well. What made you decide to go with the XDM?
I started out with 1911 type frames, but it never felt really comfortable. A couple of the guys in the tactical group let me try out their guns, which consisted of Glocks or the XD. I enjoyed both guns, but the XD won out. I opted for the XDM version since it allowed me to adjust the grip to my hand size plus came with competition grade sights and trigger. So far, I only have .40 S&W, but wanted to try the M&P in .357.
Adjustable grips to fit my hand size plus competition grade sights and trigger is the very reason I bought my S&W M&P Pro in 9mm. This gun feels like its part of me in my hand. Ive put several hundred rounds through my M&P and never a problem. Its fast, accurate, comfortable and completly reliable. My next purchase will be M&P 45.

I have a 9MM myself!
I used to carry a 9mm as my EDC but have switched in the past year to the Smith & Wesson M&P 45.

I’ve had very good results with the M&P45 which is why it’s now my every day carry gun 🙂
