Survival Weapons

Weapons are an extremely important component to anyones survival outlook if and when an extreme survival scenario occurs.  In order to be prepared, you must have access and proper training with all of your rifles, handguns and shotguns.  This is essential.  A firearm is just a tool and as with any project it is important to choose the right tool for the right job.

Do your research to determine which weapons best suit your needs.  Once you’ve determined that, then check both the used and the new gun racks at reliable gun dealers.  Shop carefully and ask questions when you need to.  If a firearm is of good quality and has been reasonably maintained it should be able to last for generations.

Getting a good deal on a gun is useless if it is not something you are going to train with or use, or is not mission specific for your needs.  Ammunition, web gear, lights, magazines, slings, holsters, optics, etc., are other essentials you will absolutely need besides owning just the weapons.

Remember a weapon is worthless in the hands of a coward or someone who isn’t trained to use them properly.  Train, train then train some more until you are fully proficient with your weapons platforms.

  1. I shall endeavour not to be a coward if I ever get my wolfie paws on a weapon of such a nature 🙂 Though I am quite certain that if my survivial depended on it I would have no problem both in learning how to and actually using a firearm to the best of my abilities. Survival is quite high on my agenda and my to do list!

Survival hopefully is a high priority on most peoples lists although I have met people who said they would never use a gun to defend themselves even if it meant enduring unbelievable physical harm. I’ve never understood that mentality. Each of us has a right and a responsibility to protect ourselves and those we love.
