Just a quick reminder to my readers.  If you have a topic you’d like me to write about or need a more detailed explanation on a particular aspect of survival, preparedness and prepping; feel free to email me at rmactsc@yahoo.com and I will do my best to help you out with your request.  Again I appreciate all of you taking the time to read and comment on my blog posts.

I’m diggin’ everything I’m learning on rmactsc. Not quite ready to arm myself or stock up on ammo, but I did buy my fist bit of survival gear yesterday -at COSTCO no less.

It’s an LED torch crank light. Flood light or flashlight options that you can charge 4 different ways: 1) with a small solar panel that flips out from the case, 2) a small hand crank, 3) a wall adapter, or 4) a 12-volt car outlet. It weighs 11.2 ozs.

I tried the hand crank. Turned the crank for 1 min and the flashlight stayed brightly lit for over 45 minutes when I got bored and turned it off. Very cool. It cost $26.00 at COSTCO (an outside vendor), but you can also go to their website: http://www.GoalZero.com.

    Aloha, Mikie
