The majority of suburban crimes are considered crimes of opportunity; meaning a criminal comes upon a home or a person that they feel would be easy to rob or victimize and attempts to take advantage of the situation. Make sure you are diligent about securing your home and are equally diligent about projecting an image of confidence and strength so that you appear to be a hard target to anyone looking to do you harm.
When you and your home are hard targets, criminals will avoid you and your residence and look for easier targets of opportunity. Strive to keep your home well secured on the interior, exterior and the perimeter and make yourself a person who refuses to be a victim, thus ensuring your personal safety and security.
Yes. 🙂
Yes I agree 🙂

*no one* expects the skinny chic with the auty-shotty!
How do you like that shotgun iamrising? I’ve always used pump action 12 gauges myself.
I haven’t shot it yet! That’s actually at Oleg’s house in HIS kitchen. My kitchen doesn’t accommodate such a big middle finger!
However, if he and I ever make it out for some more range practice together I will request it 🙂 Last time I shot the 308, *love* *love* *love*
Veritaze requested video of the new PMR30 I just got, but it blew up on the 7th round! Sending it back. They’ll repair it, but, I don’t know if I still want it now lol.
For .308 I have an FAL LIA1, good out to between 800 and 1000 yards although most ranges I go to generally have a 100 yard shooting limit 🙂
I have a life size 1/4 inch steel plate human cut out, that I aquired from a defunct art installation. It has about 20 308 holes in the head area (savage 110 tac at 200), and about 60 torso hits from Mr.kalashnikov . This sits 1/3 of the way down my 75 yard driveway. And my 70 lb american staffordshire (pit) is a common site on the property. Just hope no one see’s him with his best friend , our siamese cat.
Now that life size plate cutout is an interesting idea. The attack dog and attack cat is also a nice touch 🙂
When the zombie apocalypse comes, you don’t have to be the fastest person in your group, just faster than the chap next to you.
Home hardening is not much different; you ain’t got to have the hardest home on the block, but strive for above average. Paths of least resistance are typically exploited.
I agree Archer, if your home looks like it is too much effort, criminals will move on to an easier target.
