Whatever apocalyptic scenario life throws your way, the main thing to remember is that you must survive. In order to survive it is important to be aware of the following.
- While fear can be a normal response, one must come to terms with that fear in order to survive.
- In a defensive capacity you must be able to out-think and out-fight your opponent.
- Choose your weapons wisely.
- Always be aware of your surroundings no matter how innocent those surroundings may look.
- Know the difference between cover and concealment. IE: cover may hide you and will stop a bullet; concealment may hide you but will not stop a bullet.
- Always have a backup plan.
- Act quickly and decisively but don’t overreact or act too soon.
- There is no such thing as a fair fight or battle. If your life is on the line you must win at any cost. Make sure the unfair advantage is in your favor.

Great.
Thank you.
The few times I’ve been under attack I couldn’t even think. It was like an animal kicked in and took over. In hindsight that animal was only ever as great or reactive as its previous training/experience. I think the only way to survive anything is to continuously live as if continuously under potential attack so you are programming your mind to survey and analyze all the time. Then when the real moment happens, its auto-pilot does what you taught it to do during cold moments. I never thought about the cover vs concealment thing though, it kind of stumped me, can you expand on that some? I want to learn more 🙂
Hope you came out of your attacks unharmed Iam Rising. To expand on cover and concealment; cover is anything you can hide behind behind that will stop a bullet such as an engine block, a very thick oak tree, a solid steel thick door, etc. Concealment is where you can hide but it will not stop a bullet such as very tall grass, behind a couch, behind a sheet rock wall, etc.

Thank you for the reblog.
Very interesting thoughts. While we are not quite prepared for the apocalypse, we try to balance practicality with preparedness. We call it practical preparation….check out our site if you get a chance, It is more geared toward the homestead as a basis for self=reliance and preparation. Not so much on the thoughts here (Though we share some similar ones that we don’t publish in a public forum that often.) http://heritagebreedsfarm.com
Thanks for commenting. I will be checking out your site 🙂
