Here are some important things you need to know about freedom and governent.

  • Your elected representatives could care less about your opinions and interests unless of course you are a major financial donor.
  • Governments will use fear as a weapon and by doing so, create real or imagined threats that they will claim only the government can solve.
  • Never waive or give up your rights under any circumstances.
  • Strangers are just that, strangers, so do not engage in talking to them about anything private or sensative.
  • Never make an assumption that an expert is really an expert.  Most of them are not and are only given airtime to push a particular agenda.
  • If you have fundamental differences with certain people it is a waste of time to argue issues, politics or philosophies with them.
  • The less informed the populace is; the better those in power like it.
  • Avoid the victim mentality.  Take responsibility for your decisions.
  • Consider nothing as true until you verify it.
  • Freedom means never having to beg the government for your fundamental rights.
  • It is okay not to respect a political office if you don’t respect the person in that office.
  • Draw your line in the sand so that you know what you will and what you won’t tolerate.

So true and yet so many people know this, then again so many people in North America just watch TV for hours at a time, nothing else.

It’s amazing to me that some people can have absolutely zero knowledge on issues and still vote. No wonder we have the issues these days that we do.

    • Holli says:

Though, one has to admit that if one watches the MSM for news, one will not just be ignorant, but misinformed. Seems to me a founder said the same thing about newspapers in his time…can’t remember off the top of my head.

We have to dig for the truth, if we want it!

      • rmactsc says:

Ask the average person about any issue and they are so blinded by the spotlight of the lame stream media that they don’t think for themselves anymore. Why if a reporter says it how can it not be the absolute truth lol 🙂

      • Holli says:

Exactly! For example, my mother had (key word) a friend that insisted that whatever the news media said HAD to be true, because it was the LAW. So, he believed EVERY WORD they said. My mother said she had a hard time not letting her jaw hang open in shock.

This state of wilful ignorance is the situation our founders and framers warned us about. Ben Franklin said that if we allow ourselves to be sheep, we will be eaten by wolves. Yep. Well said, Franklin.

      • rmactsc says:

Seems like we as a society are following in the footsteps of another old adage. “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”

  2. This is good well written and well worded, per definitions, government and freedom (liberty) cannot coexist.
