Self-Discipline is an extremely important aspect to consider when it comes to survival.  The following are some important points to reflect upon where self-discipline factors in.

  • Determination, adaptability, confidence, positive thinking and an ability to improvise and or make do with what you have are necessary for success.
  • You must be creative enough to seek out and explore beneficial opportunities.
  • Have primary, secondary and tertiary survival strategies in place.
  • Avoid negative thinking and self doubt.
  • Don’t think it can’t happen here because it can.
  • Maintain a good moral and ethical viewpoint.
  • Maintain a proper and adequate supply of essential survival items.  Stock up when times are good so you will have resources when times are not.
  • Work smart.
  • Add new items to your survival supplies whenever possible.
  • Life will change during a disaster.  Do not give up hope.  Stay strong.

My little food-stocker’s heart beats in envy over your pic! LOL My new place is smaller, with a dirt root cellar and haven’t gotten my stores all in one neat, organized and nifty place quite yet! 🙂

If there’s ever a spaghettios and meatball shortage now you know why. I have more canned goods of that product then anything else 🙂

I’m preparing coolers, as the Black Forest Fire, if not contained, could reach us in a day or two – – Hmmm…which canned goods to take….LOL I have to say I prefer the dehydrated packets, easier to haul – but not if you don’t have a solar powered water pump….LOL

good.. golly.. that’s a ton of food.
you ever check the expiration date on food that’s been stored?

    • rmactsc says:

Food is rotated and used periodically and newer dated food is then added. Keep in mind many canned goods can go well beyond the experation date as long as the cans are not bloated which indicates spoilage. Nutritional value will decrease with age however. Still a steak on the barbacue grill tastes much better instead of canned goods 🙂
