It sometimes seems as though I am on a never ending quest for the perfect concealed carry OWB holster for my large frame Smith & Wesson M&P 45. So far the best I’ve come up with is the Fobus retention paddle holster for strong side carry. I am however going to give the Uncle Mikes Mirage Super Slide Belt Holster a try and see if that might also be a workable option. So what concealed carry holsters are you using on a regular basis and what are your thoughts on them?

I use a belt slide holster for my .40 cal (S&W) as I can not find a paddle holster that works…
What brand of belt slide holster are you using?

It is a Galco…but fate and luck fell into place today…bumped into the owner of Gunslinger Leather today at the gun show…custom made leather paddle holsters will only cost $60…family owned business here in Albuquerque. He also does custom leather shoulder rigs, $160…here is his info…..

Good to know. Thanks.
Depends on the weapon. .380, soft holster inside the pocket. .45, IWB strong side. 9mm, leather pancake OWB strong side.

Currently I’m carrying the S&W M&P 45 strong side at about the 4:00 position. The Fobus paddle holster and the newly acquired Uncle Mikes super slide belt holster both seem to perform very well when the mood strikes me to interchange them.
