I was recently asked what one item I would miss the most in a post apocalyptic world.  Well here is my answer.  Now what one item would you miss the most?

Off. Down here in the Jungles of SE Texas, it smells better than perfume.

  2. This was food for thought at the office. The items that were mentioned included toothbrush, functioning cell phone, automobile, and fast food. See? Blog reading at the office makes sense – team building exercises stem from this kind of thing. 🙂

I like team building exercises. Let’s see toothbrush could probably be fabricated, functioning cell phones you are correct would be a thing of the past, automobiles might be good to use as temporary sleeping quarters and fast food would definitely take on a whole new meaning 🙂

      • I kept thinking back to Tim, who missed simply going out to grab a pizza. 🙂 damn, that story is thought provoking. So ready for part 3! I guess you know who threw fast food out there, huh?

      • rmactsc says:

I’m so glad you enjoyed the book. I’ll make sure to put a dedication out to you in book 3. Now about that Amazon review lol 🙂

  3. Currently…pancakes!! Can’t get enough of them at the moment…big, hot, soft and delicious pancakes…ummmm! Impossible to live without right now 🙂 Bevita breakfast biscuits, the milk and cereal variety would be a nightmare to be living without too 🙂 A true apocalyptic nightmare even!

    • rmactsc says:

Addicted to pancakes; very cool. Belvita breakfast bars, the chocolate ones are one of the food items I stockpile for emergencies; just in case 🙂

      • Oooh yes! 2nd only to the milk and cereal ones are the choccie ones! It is most unfortunate that once again they have just come off special offer and gone back to full price…hopefully this won’t last for long lol nobody buys them then! We all wait for the offers to return…and of course they do! Best to buy in bulk!

      • rmactsc says:

For awhile there was a shortage of Belvita chocolate flavor in my area; so once they were back in stock I purchased almost every box I could find 🙂

I’m thinking probably the internet. I know that’s a broad thing to pick but until recently if you wanted to learn something new you had to find someone who already knew to teach you or go to a library and dig until you found the information in a book. Now however you can open up Google search and have what you’re looking for in under a minute along with videos and commentary for anything you can imagine. As someone under 25 years old its very hard for me to imagine a world without the internet, but I know what the implications would be if we lost it. My generation is definitely spoiled in that regard. 🙂

  5. A thermostat to supply heat when I want it. Having lived with wood heat…. I’m too old to want to have to chop and carry unless I want the exercise.

  6. What would I miss the most? Well, I can’t claim pizza because I’ve already came up with ways of making it SHTF, so I’ll have to go with a chainsaw. Once the gas and oil are gone, the chainsaws don’t work and I really don’t look forward to cutting wood with a hand saw or trying to fall a tree with an ax.
