I’m going to diverge from my usual survival and preparedness related posts, Conservative political opinions and weapons related items just for this specific post so I can mention some important things I feel everyone should strive to achieve in life.  I’ve told this over and over to my children when they were growing up; and now that they are both young adults, and college students; I’d like to pass it along to you.

  1. Attend college and graduate with an employable degree.  It is never too late to go to school.  A degree is not enough; it must be an employable degree.
  2. Enjoy what you do for work.  If you don’t then find another line of work.
  3. Be proud of your country and proud to be an American.
  4. Find someone who makes you happy and when you do stick with that person.
  5. It’s better to have money and be happy then to not have money and be happy or unhappy.
  6. Life is too short to be miserable.
  7. If you don’t like something about your lifestyle or your personality, etc., then work on changing it.  It can be done.
  8. Have a hobby you enjoy doing and do it.
  9. Learn the art of relaxation.
  10. Have an attitude of gratitude.
  11. Believe in yourself and your abilities.
  12. Be confident always.
  13. Positive thinking gets you further than negative thinking.
  14. Agree with everything I say; oh alright, agree with everything I say most of the time 🙂

Happy 2013 everyone.  I am hard at work on my fiction book American Rebellion Book 3 of the Revolution which picks up where my previous books American Rebellion Book 1 of the Revolution and American Rebellion Book 2 of the Revolution left off.

You can get a free preview of the beginning of the first two books by clicking on the book cover images to the left of this blog post which will take you to the Amazon.com website; then you can click on the look inside option which will give you a free preview.  If my books interest you; then consider purchasing a copy.  As always I appreciate the readers of my blog and the purchasers of my books more than you can ever know.

Merry Christmas to all my blog readers, family, friends and book purchasers.  I hope you have a joyous holiday season 🙂

What is a prepper?  An interesting question and I propose the following answer. A prepper is a person who seeks to be prepared for things that life might throw your way.  A person who is self reliant when it comes to survival, preparedness and protection.  A person who understands the fragility of society and who uses effective reasoning and decision making skills to make sure that they thrive and survive; and a person who is respectful of other people and their property and expects the same considerations in return.   So are you a prepper?
