A lot of us enjoy a nice hike in the woods where meandering paths intersect with an abundance of tall, shady trees.  Criminals like these places too but for entirely different reasons.  They like them because it gives them access to potential victims who are isolated and out of range from help from law enforcement.  Just because you’re out in the woods relaxing doesn’t mean that criminals aren’t out there also plying their special brand of violent, criminal behaviors.

So it pays to be situationally aware at all times.  It is also imperative to be armed to protect yourself and your family if and when a dangerous, violent situation occurs.  Being well trained with firearms, having the ability to conceal carry, and being able to defend yourself it attacked are important considerations to seriously think about.

Don’t go looking for trouble and pay attention to your gut feelings if you sense that trouble might be up ahead.  But if you have to deal with a life or death situation; then do so with aggression, ferocity, and an unfair advantage in your favor.  If an assault takes place in a remote area, which criminals are counting on, there will be no one to help you other than yourself.  Stay alive, stay safe, and be prepared always for the unexpected.  Your life may just depend on it.

Gun control for law abiding citizen’s is wrong.  Let’s use some illustrations and images to point out just a few of the reasons why.

Stay strong and courageous my friends.  The 2nd amendment is still going strong after all these years and even though there are those who want to repeal it or change it; when push comes to shove they will be defeated every time.  Law abiding citizen’s with access to firearms is the surest way to stop violent criminal aggression.  Always has been, always will be.  Be proud to be an American and be proud to have the right to keep and bear arms.  After all when it comes to your own personal safety and the safety of those you love; it is your right and responsibility to provide protection and keep violent predators at bay.

American Rebellion Book 1 of the Revolution (post apocalyptic fiction)

We don’t need gun control for law abiding citizen’s, we need democrat control. In 1865, a Democrat shot and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States.
In 1881, a left-wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the U.S., who later died from the wound.
In 1963, a radical left-wing socialist shot and killed John F Kennedy, Presid
ent of the U.S.
In 1975, a left wing radical Democrat fired shots a Gerald Ford, President of the U.S.
In 1983, a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan, President of the U.S.
In 1984, James Hubert, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 22 people in a McDonalds Restaurant.
In 1986, Patrick Sherrill, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 15 people in an Oklahoma Post Office.
In 1990, James Pough, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 10 people at a GMAC office
Int 1991, George Hennard, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 23 people in a Luby’s Cafeteria in Killeen, TX.
In 1995, James D. Simpson, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 5 coworkers in a Texas laboratory.
In 1999, Larry Asbrook, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 8 people at a church service.
In 2001, a left-wing radical Democrat fired shots at the White House in a failed attempt to kill George W. Bush, President of U.S.
In 2003, Douglas Williams, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people at a Lockheed Martin plant.
In 2007, a registered Democrat named Seung-Hui Cho, shot and killed 32 people at Virginia Tech.
In 2010, a mentally ill, registered Democrat named Jared Loughner, shot Rep. Gabriell Giffords and killed 6 others.
In 2011, a registered Democrat named James Holmes, went into a movie theater and shot and killed 12 people.
In 2012, Andrew Engeldinger, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people in Minneapolis.
In 2013, a registered Democrat named Adam Lanza, shot and killed 26 people in a school in Newtown, CT.
As recently as Sept 2013, an angry Democrat shot 12 at a Navy shipyard.
Elliott Rogers of course is the most recent Democrat to commit gun violence.
and the list goes on; there is clearly a pattern with Democrats and shootings. Just saying.

It’s your home and that means you have a responsibility to protect your home and your family from criminals who would invade your sanctuary and do you harm.  Basic home defense precautions such as a large dog, locking your doors, windows, garages, etc., deadbolt locks, and door jam bars are essential precautionary measures; but once a violent criminal is inside you will need additional defensive capabilities.

Firearms are simply the best, modern home defense weapon for those who are properly trained or experienced in their use.  Your home defense weapon or weapons must be effective, reliable and capable of stopping a threat when your life or the lives of your family are in imminent danger.

You also need to factor in overpenetration which means you will need to be aware of what is beyond your target since sheetrock walls won’t stop bullets.  You do not want to injure family members around or behind a criminal when your life or your families lives are in danger.

Some firearms considerations are as follows.  12 Gauge pump action shotguns as they have the most effective stopping power at close range and depending on the model can hold between 5 to 8 shells in the tube.  Semi Automatic handguns in either 9mm, 40S&W, or 45ACP due to their small size, concealability and convenient accessibility; and depending on the model they can hold between 8 to 17 rounds in the magazine.

Revolvers are also a good option in 38 special or 357 magnum as depending on the model they can hold between 5 and 8 rounds in the cylinder and generally speaking; have less chance of a malfunction then a semi automatic handgun. They are also good choices for individuals who have trouble racking the slide of a semi automatic handgun.

Generally I do not recommend rifles for inside home defense, unless that is all you have, as the potential for overpenetration and the distances most calibers travel is just too risky in typical suburban neighborhoods.  Even when using shotguns, semi automatic handguns, or revolvers, be aware that they also have the potential to overpenetrate.

Whatever firearms you decide to use as your primary home defense weapons make sure you train with them often and become thoroughly familiar with their workings.  Your home defense firearms must be 100% reliable as your life may one day depend on them.

Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed to the fullest.  You should live the way you want, work at something you enjoy doing, reside where you want and get as much satisfaction from life as possible.  Along with that however, it is also prudent to be prepared for situations in life where things are contra to your best interests.  Disasters such as social unrest, war, famine, societal collapse, escalations in violent crime, etc., are just some of the things that in this day and age are of concern to many.  So, along with enjoying the good times, it is also important to prepare for the bad times.

The following are the things I consider the most important for preparing for your own survival during times of crisis.

  • There is no such thing as having too much canned food or water set aside.  If disaster strikes, grocery stores may not be available to supplement your needs.  You must maintain a minimum of 3 months worth of food and water per person.
  • Yes, yes, yes you must have a sufficient amount of guns and ammunition and be well versed in their use.  You may have sufficient quantities of emergency supplies, but if others try and forcibly take them, you must be able to hold onto what you have.
  • People can and will panic during disasters so avoid large crowds and any areas subject to martial law and or rioting.
  • Use common sense and good judgement when deciding whom to trust.
  • Always keep  small amounts of cash on hand.  A disaster may render ATM’s and credit card systems useless.  If so, cash or barter may be the only ways to immediately conduct business.
  • Take responsibility for your own survival.  Ability without character is useless.  Remain as moral and as ethical during times of crisis as you deem prudent.
