What has happened to my America.  We have gone from a nation of self reliance to a nation of entitlement dependents.  Now I know not everyone is like this; but for those of you with an entitlement mentality, have some self respect and try achieving the following.

  • Get a good education.  It can be done; just apply yourself.
  • Get a good job.  Something you can be proud of.  It may take time to find one that satisfies you; as well as pays well, but keep looking until you find one that’s right for you.
  • Stop expecting other people to foot the bill for you.  A lifetime dependency on welfare should make you feel ashamed.  No self respecting person should feel good about themselves if they are on an entitlement program for their entire life.
  • Got a dream; then see it through.  Don’t give up on it just because you hit a roadblock or two.  Keep pushing forward until you achieve what you want.
  • There is a right and a wrong regardless of what the lamestream media tells you.  Try to have a good moral code and do the right thing even if no one is there watching.
  • Maintain a positive outlook and a confident manner as often as possible; and try to genuinely enjoy what life has to offer.
  • Lying, cheating and stealing is no way to go through life.
  • If you have strong convictions about something than stand your ground.
  • Believe in yourself and have faith in your abilities to succeed.

welfare-lesson

America is in a state of decline.  It’s obvious and the following 10 things need to change immediately in order to get this country of ours back on track.  Here are those things.

  1. The media must relearn the basics of reporting.  The lamestream media twists the truth and incorrectly reports so many things that they can no longer be trusted to report the truth.
  2. Politicians must get back to supporting and preserving the ideals as set forth in the Constitution.
  3. Liberalism must be stopped before it further destroys the nation.  Liberal ideas are an anathema to the great things America used to be able to achieve.
  4. Welfare must be ended.  Anyone who spends their entire life on welfare and is proud of it should be ashamed of themselves but unfortunately they seem to revel in it.
  5. Americans who don’t have a work ethic must develop one and take pride in their achievements and successes.  You cannot expect others to provide for you when you are perfectly capable of providing for yourself.
  6. Honor, integrity and ethics must be restored.  We need to stop catering to and pandering to those in the media spotlight whose bad behavior is constantly rewarded.
  7. Those who try to take away our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and who seek to destroy our Constitutional rights need to be exposed for who they really are and if in politcal office they need to be voted out.
  8. Common sense needs to be restored to politics, the media, and individuals as they go about their daily lives.
  9. Personal Responsibility needs to be the backbone of every individual when it comes to living their lives.
  10. Support and defend the Constition of the United States of America.  Anyone trying to pass laws contra to the constitution should be brought up on criminal charges.

One of my readers asked me to re-post this again so to oblige; here you go.  As I sat in my hot tub and relaxed in the warmth of the churning water; I managed to resolve my top 6 issues that I feel America faces.  So if I was the President; here are the 6 policies I would implement to get this great country back on track.

  1. Illegal Aliens – Round them up and deport them immediately.  They are here illegally which makes it a criminal offense.  Immediately implement border security with posted signs indicating that anyone trying to illegally cross the border will be fired upon and follow through with such action.
  2. Welfare – Eligible one time in your life only; not to exceed 12 months.  At that point no further welfare would be allowed for an individual.  The prospect of no more welfare funds coming in would highly motivate recipients to go out and get a job in order to survive.
  3. Prison System – 24 hour lockdown would be mandatory.  No early release.  Sentences to be served in full.  No weight rooms, no TV, no radio.  I would allow “elevator music” and perhaps a daily newspaper for reading.  Prison cells would be harsh, not comfortable resulting in those getting out of prison never wanting to return.
  4. War – Would no longer be fought in a politically correct fashion.  If we had to go to war, our military would be allowed to fight as viciously as possible in order to win.  No more touchy, feely ,methods of combat.  Wars are meant to be won and won quickly.
  5. Taxes – 3% flat tax would be implemented replacing the current individual income tax code at all income levels with no deductions.  Go out and earn as much as you can and pay your 3%.  NO deductions, no loopholes.  Straight 3% which can never be increased.
  6. Concealed Carry – All law abiding citizens with valid pistol permits would be allowed and encouraged to carry concealed 24/7.  Criminals fear armed civilians and being armed with proper training goes a long way to keeping criminals at bay.  No malicious prosecutions would be allowed for armed citizens who shoot a thug in self defense.

Everyone needs to draw a line in the sand for what they will and will not tolerate.  Here is my list of things I will not tolerate.

  • Anyone who tells me my political beliefs are wrong.  I am proud to be a Conservative Republican and truly believe that Conservative ideals are the way to go.
  • Anyone who tries to take away my second amendment rights to keep and bear arms.  I am a proud gun owner who trains and practices on a regular basis and who takes pride in my target shooting skills.
  • Anyone who does not prepare for disasters and then expects others to drop everything to help them when they could have helped themselves.
  • Anyone with a welfare/entitlement mentality.  While I understand everyone goes through hard times at certain points in their lives; it is up to the individual to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and go on to achieve something worthwhile.
  • Anyone who is a racist.  There is no room for racism and no excuse for anyone who engages in racist tirades or racist hatred.  Hating others because of their race, creed, religion or origin is simply wrong thinking.
  • Anyone without morals or values.  It is not hard to do the right thing so make sure when the situation presents itself that you choose to do the right thing.
  • Anyone engaging in violent crime.  You are the scum of the earth and you can expect to receive a just punishment.  Karma has a way of balancing the scales.

From a copy of a poster which is hanging in my office (Author Unknown)

We, the sensible of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt-ridden delusional, and other liberal, commie, pinko bedwetters.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that a whole lot of people were confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim that they require a Bill of No Rights.

  1. You do not have the right to a new car, big-screen color TV or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
  2. You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone—not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.
  3. You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all of your relatives independently wealthy.
  4. You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.
  5. You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we’re just not interested in public health care.
  6. You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or kill someone, don’t be surprised if the rest of us get together and kill you.
  7. You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don’t be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won’t have the right to a big-screen color TV or a life of leisure.
  8. You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have one, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities in education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
  9. You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness—which, by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic laws created by those around you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
  10. This is an english speaking country.  We do not care where you are from.  We welcome you here.  English is our language and like the one you left behind, we have a culture.  Learn it or go back to the living conditions and the country you were fleeing from.

God Bless America.
